We were still flying high from our great review from Historical Novels Review Online when we learned we’d gotten a four-star review from “Misfit,” one of the great reviewers on GoodReads. Check it out the whole thing on her blog, “At Home with a Good Book and the Cat.”
I really enjoyed the way Author Frances Hunter (sisters Mary and Liz Clare) portrayed the younger Lewis and Clark from their first meeting to what eventually became a long-time partnership, as well as an inside look at the life of a soldier and life *in camp* and out surviving in the wilderness (ack, that rotten bear meat). … Hunter has written a previous book on what became of Lewis and Clark after the expedition titled To the Ends of the Earth: The Last Journey of Lewis & Clark which I also read and enjoyed a lot. I very much hope they continue with this pair and tells us the story of the expedition west as well – and as fat and meaty as you can make it. I want more!
